For the last 8 weeks I’ve been working on Amir within my ‘Voyager project’ for David Pagets CGMA course on Character Design for Film and Games. I have immensely enjoyed the course and attempted to really push myself and my worldbuilding during it.
I aimed to create a roughish character within a middle eastern inspired summer setting, to tackle a different genre, some soft fantasy and ultimately something new and slightly more light hearted within my artwork.
A huge thank you to David Paget for all of his tutorage and feedback throughout!

Using a workflow of combining rough sketches in photoshop to mock poses in Daz Studio, rendering and proxy modelling in blender to then finishing off once again in photoshop, and detailing further with the most photobashing I have ever attempted. Whilst this approach produced an alternate style to my prior work, it increased my workflow speed and abilities tremendously.
